Exploring Walker, MN: 24 Hours in a Small Town with Big Charm

In the summer of 1984, Keith Haring worked with middle school students from Hopkins, Minnesota to present Art Fest at the Walker. The festival celebrated the completion of a new education center. Reflecting on her experience working with Haring, former Walker Educator Susan Rotilie says, “It was so seamless for him to collaborate with children. Visited the Walker Lake Fish Hatchery in Otter Tail County, MN yesterday. The walleye run is a little early and has slowed this week due to lower water temps.
