Feb 8, 2017 · I also know of three people from 3 different states that saw a "black panther" at close distance opening day of deer season about 15 years ago. All 3 sightings were within 1/4 mile of each other and within a 5 minute time frame. A 4th person saw it 4 days later 1/2 mile from the other 3 sightings. None of these people knew of the others sightings.

Someone even posted a cell pic (see below 1st pic) on an Indiana site, along with the story as he heard it. The day before that posting the landowner where I hunt told me about it with a strict warning for me to be careful out there.

Definitely not that bad this year, not by a long shot. 2013 and 2024 also have the same calendar with 1st weekend of gun season right at peak breeding/lock down.

Oct 22, 2024 · I loaded up some 16 gauge black powder shot shells for my stevens model 5100 made in 1946 it will handle factory smokeless loads but black powder is more fun. 2 3/4 dram and 1oz of #8 shot works great on squirrels .
