A fan of former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is suing the NFL after Sanders wasn’t picked until the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. An unnamed fan in Georgia, who filed the lawsuit as “John Doe,” is suing the NFL for $100 million.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ epic slide in the NFL draft gained the attention of President Donald Trump who made a viral post. On Saturday at rookie minicamp, Sanders was asked about it.

Cleveland added Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel at 94th overall, making Sanders the fifth quarterback on the roster, which also includes Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco and Deshaun Watson. Sanders took second in quarterback reps behind Gabriel on Friday, although Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski downplayed its significance.
