Shane Lowry has sent a classy message to Rory McIlroy after falling short to his friend at Pebble Beach on Sunday. Playing together in the final round of the AT&T Pro-Am, McIlroy held his nerve to hold off Lowry and Ryder Cup teammate Sepp Straka to win his first title of 2025.

A Shane Lowry shot from the tee struck a man during Sunday’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. During his tee shot on the 15th hole, Lowry hit his ball 297 yards just to the right of the fairway and struck a tournament volunteer who had been standing on that side of the course.
