Kentucky State Police officials have identified the trooper who was shot during a string of shootings that left two people dead in Lexington July 13.

Two people were killed and at least three others were injured in shootings in Lexington, Kentucky, officials said Sunday. The gunman also died, police said.

A Lexington church was the target of a shooting incident that claimed the lives of two female victims, multiple outlets reported. Police confirmed that the firearm attack in the Kentucky city also injured two male churchgoers. Lawrence Weathers, Lexington Police Chief, shared a statement (via Reuters ).
