Firefly Aerospace will deliver five payloads to the Moon’s south pole in 2029 using its Blue Ghost lander and Elytra orbital vehicle.

The mission, dubbed Blue Ghost Mission 4, will use Firefly's Elytra Dark orbital vehicle and Blue Ghost lunar lander to deploy two rovers and three scientific instruments aimed at evaluating lunar resources,

NASA on Tuesday announced that Firefly won a $176.7 million task order for the delivery of two rovers and three scientific instruments to the lunar south pole in 2029. The award comes just months after Blue Ghost became the first privately built lander to survive a landing on the rocky satellite.
