HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) - The ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ was passed by the House of Representatives, which included cuts to Medicaid. The Congressional Budget Office predicts nearly 14 million people will lose coverage by 2034, and would cut $715 billion in Medicaid reduction over 10 years.

The news of Congress passing President Donald Trump’s Tax bill early Thursday morning didn’t sit well with Governor Bob Ferguson.

The House May 22 passed the fiscal year 2025 budget reconciliation bill, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act by a 215-214 vote. The legislation includes significant impacts to Medicaid and the Health Insurance Marketplaces.
