After a surprisingly snowy Thursday, Oregonians across the state woke up Friday morning to even more snow. Much of the state remains under winter storm warnings or weather advisories from the National Weather Service, though all expire before Saturday — some ended as early as 10 a.m.

With winter weather ahead over the next few days, departments across Oregon are preparing the roads and infrastructure for wintry weather.

The combination of cool temperatures and showery weather has meant Willamette Valley snow is possible at lower elevations throughout this week.
