Pakistan's army said on Tuesday that more than 50 people were killed in last week's military clashes with India which ended in a ceasefire agreed by the nuclear-armed neighbours, restoring peace to their border.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized the need for “immediate de-escalation” as he spoke with leaders from both countries.

The move comes amid rising public sentiment against Turkiye and Azerbaijan following their expressions of support for Pakistan after India's recent military operation, 'Operation Sindoor'.
