Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is pulling the security protections and clearance of retired Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley.

The portraits of former Defense Secretary Mark Esper and retired Army Gen. Mark Milley, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, were removed from the Pentagon after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth revoked Milley’s personal security detail and security clearance.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Tuesday revoked the security detail and security clearance for Gen. Mark Milley, according to Pentagon spokesman John Ullyot, an unprecedented move against the former top US general who became a frequent target of President Donald Trump.

The Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has reportedly started his work and has recently announced about the revocation of personal security detail and security clearance as well of retired Army General Mark Milley while there are some significant tensions growing between Mark Milley and US President Donald Trump.

Pete Hegseth told Gen. Mark Milley, a longtime foe of President Trump, that the Pentagon is revoking his security detail and clearance.
