TRAVERSE CITY, MI – Police have identified the man they believe entered a Walmart and stabbed 11 people at random. Bradford James Gille, 42, is in custody and awaiting arraignment on numerous charges in connection with the mass stabbing, police said at a press conference Sunday, July 27.
Authorities say a man wielding a folding knife randomly stabbed 11 people near a checkout counter at a Walmart in Traverse City, Michigan.
Six of the 11 victims were in critical condition after Saturday's attack, and five were listed in serious condition, hospital officials said.
The Munson Medical Center, a 9-minute drive from the Walmart, confirmed that they are working closely with local authorities and emergency services to ensure the best care for those impacted.
