Luis Rubiales and the other three defendants accused of trying to downplay the kiss by the former president of the Spanish soccer federation on player Jenni Hermoso at the 2023 Women’s World Cup final presentation ceremony are set to testify before a judge on Tuesday.

Members of Spain's women's national team have testified in a Madrid court this week as the trial over Luis Rubiales' forced kiss on Jenni Hermoso at the 2023 Women's World Cup final begins.

Jenni Hermoso and Luis Rubiales appeared in court in Madrid on Monday, Feb. 3. Rubiales is on trial for alleged sexual assault over him kissing Hermoso on the lips at the 2023 World Cup Final, according to reports.

Rubiales is accused of sexual assault for kissing Hermoso at the 2023 Women’s World Cup final presentation ceremony, as well as of coercion for allegedly trying to convince the player to support his version of the kiss.
