Hundreds of Latino community members and allies gathered in front of the Oliver Hodge Building on Tuesday as state schools Superintendent Ryan Walters and the Oklahoma State Board of Education unanimously approved a policy that'd require schools to report the number of undocumented students in their districts.

Parents enrolling children in Oklahoma public schools will be required to provide proof of their child’s U.S. citizenship or legal immigration status under a proposal rule approved by the State Board of Education.

Ryan Walters said he would help the Trump administration in “any way they see fit” to carry out immigration enforcement.
