Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen opened up on the incident with Lewis Hamilton during the Hungarian Grand Prix, which came under the scanner of the FIA stewards. Verstappen believed there was no need for an investigation since their cars did not make contact.

Max Verstappen suggested after the Hungarian Grand Prix that it was a 'startled' Lewis Hamilton that led to an FIA investigation for the Dutchman. On lap 29 of the race, Hamilton and Verstappen almost made contact when the four-time world champion attempted an audacious overtake on his old enemy, with Hamilton being forced onto the run-off area.

Max Verstappen believes Lewis Hamilton’s absence from the post-race stewards’ hearing showed the Ferrari driver agreed that their Hungarian Grand Prix incident did not merit an FIA investigation. It comes after it emerged that Hamilton waived his right to visit the stewards in what could be seen as actions speaking louder than words.
