A man who fled as an immigration raid unfolded at a Home Depot in Southern California was killed when he ran onto a freeway as federal agents moved in, local officials said. The National Day Laborer Organizing Network identified the man as Roberto Carlos Montoya Valdés,

The man was hit by a vehicle. It happened about a month after an immigrant fell from a greenhouse and later died following a raid in Ventura County.

A vigil will be held at a Monrovia Home Depot store that was the scene of an federal immigration raid that city officials say prompted a man to flee onto the 210 Freeway, where he was fatally struck by an SUV.
