Evacuation warnings were expanded in San Luis Obispo County on Monday as the Gifford Fire continues to grow. Zones SLC-311, SLC-312, and SLC-334 are now under evacuation warnings. Update: 3% containment reached for Gifford Fire in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara County
Since its discovery three days ago, it has burned 65,062 acres, an increase of 15,301 acres since the last update. By Monday morning, the fire crew effectively contained 3% of this fire. The blaze's cause remains under investigation.
