After a Game 4 victory over New Jersey on Sunday, Carolina Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour said he was "frustrated" when there was no penalty given to Devils veteran forward Timo Meier after he injured goaltender Frederik Andersen in the second period.

Frederik Andersen left the game after the Devils’ Timo Meier ran into him in the second period, but the Hurricanes survived and took a 3-1 series lead behind Andrei Svechnikov’s hat trick.

Devils ’ winger Timo Meier, in an attempt to cut-off a pass in the crease, ended up trucking Carolina goalie Frederik Andersen. Andersen fell flat back into the net, and play was stopped so a trainer could tend to the veteran goalie. Not long after, he left Game 4 during the second period with an undisclosed injury.
