Jon Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils are once again expected to be a top-tier national championship contender during the 2025-26 college basketball season. After making a run to the Final Four last year, Duke lost quite a bit of talent with Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel being the major headliners.
Cooper Flagg wouldn’t be the first Jon Scheyer-coached Duke player to suit up for the Dallas Mavericks. If Flagg is drafted by the Mavs in June ( as is widely expected ), he would get a chance to team up with Dereck Lively II. Like Flagg, Lively spent just one season at Duke before entering the professional ranks.
