Miguel Cabrera reported Wednesday morning to Detroit Tigers spring training for the first time in 2025. Cabrera, who turns 42 in mid-April, will be active as a coach at the TigerTown complex from Wednesday through Monday.

NORT PORT, Fla. -- The Detroit Tigers beat against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday at CoolToday Park, 3-1, on Tuesday. Detroit is 8-8 in Grapefruit League play. Jack Flaherty got the start and was outstanding, pitching 4 innings without giving up a hit. Jace Jung jacked his first homer of the spring.

Cabrera, who serves as a special assistant to president Scott Harris, was back in Lakeland on Wednesday and is expected be here the rest of the week.
