On Friday night, the Boston Celtics saw their repeat hopes come crashing down in a blowout loss to the New York Knicks. Now, the organization must finally face the salary cap reckoning that has been talked about for the last few months.

There was plenty of blame to spread around for the Celtics, but the biggest factors were poor 3-point shooting in Games 1 and 2 (Tatum), sloppy ball-handing that led to turnovers (Brown), poor end-of-game strategy (Mazzulla) and an inability to contain Brunson at key moments (Holiday).

The New York Knicks advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in well over 20 years. With their Game 6 win over the Boston Celtics, the Knicks stand just four wins from the NBA Finals.
