Unilever Plc will list its ice cream unit primarily in Amsterdam, the consumer goods company said, with London and New York getting secondary listings when the maker of Ben & Jerry’s is spun off this year.

Ben & Jerry's maker Unilever will spin out its ice cream business and has chosen Amsterdam for its primary listing, it said on Thursday, in a blow to British finance minister Rachel Reeves' efforts to attract IPOs to London.

Turnover at the FTSE 100 consumer giant Unilever ticked up 1.9 per cent to €60.8bn (£50.71bn) in 2024, above analysts' expectations.
