Eleven states have seen double or more tornado reports through May this year than the same time period last year.
The Storm Prediction Center has maintained an enhanced risk for severe weather on the day for much of West Michigan, stretching as far east as Ann Arbor and as far north as Manistee. The rest of the region is under a slight risk for severe storms.
