The US Navy's Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S Truman (CVN 75) and a large merchant vessel named Besiktas-M collided in the Mediterranean Sea on Wednesday night.

The aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman was involved in a collision at sea with a merchant vessel near Port Said, Egypt, the Navy said. The collision occurred late Wednesday while both ships were moving.

There were no reports of injuries or flooding after the USS Harry S. Truman was involved in a collision, the Navy said.
