The Houthi militant group in Yemen said it would resume attacks on Israeli ships for the first time in about two months after demanding the country end a ban on aid entering Gaza.

Houthi rebel militia spokesman Ameen Hayyan has issued a new threat to shipping, announcing via a social media post late that the rebel group will resume targeting Israeli ships with immediate effect.

The Iranian-backed Houthis have increased threats to return to attacks on Israel and return to attacks on ships. The threats come as a ceasefire continues to hold in Gaza.
