President Donald Trump announced that he has selected conservative commentator and former Fox News host Dan Bongino to serve as deputy FBI director. The position does not require Senate confirmation.

Former St. Lucie County Sheriff Keith Pearson, who was appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis and lost the general election, and conservative Palm City podcast host Dan Bongino have secured spots within Trump's administration and have proven to be Trump allies.

Bongino, a former Secret Service agent, has been criticized for spreading several conspiracy theories as a talk show host.

The May 2024 post resurfaced as a screenshot in February 2025, after U.S. President Donald Trump announced Bongino as the new FBI deputy director.
