The Portland Trail Blazers left the Moda Center Sunday disappointed that they couldn’t pull out a win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, but they were still pleased with their overall effort against the NBA’s top team. The impressive play of forwards Deni Avdija and Toumani Camara was at the heart of the Blazers’ performance during the 118-108 loss.

Avdija put together his best showing of the season Sunday, leading all Portland players in scoring and assists while ending two rebounds shy of the double-digit mark in an all-around showcase. Avdija set new season-high marks in both scoring and assists, recording at least 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists on three occasions.

After being moved to a reserve role due to some early-season struggles, Avdija has started 12 consecutive games for the Trail Blazers and appears to be locked into a role with the first unit at the moment.
