In a press release, police said there were 11 victims associated with the vandalism, including Guadalajara and Jibaro restaurants, Pete’s Tap bar & Grill, Pearl City Tobacco & Liquor, the Merrill Hotel, Muscatine City Hall, Susan Clark Junior High School, Muscatine Community College and properties at 113 Iowa Avenue and 208 W 2nd Street.
The Muscatine police are currently investigating the situation. They say one of the buildings had a damaged window and one of the restaurants had received threatening emails. Muscatine Mayor Brad Bark also gave a statement condemning the hateful vandalism.
