Layoffs are hitting the Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, reducing its staff by 52 people, according to an internal memo to staff Wednesday and a letter sent to California’s Employment Development Department.

Layoffs are currently underway at the Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group as the storied movie studio attempts to streamline its structure and save costs. The layoffs will reduce the staff by about 10 percent. The operation, which does business around the globe, had a total head count of under 1,000 employees, according to insiders.
