The new Microsoft Edge browser has added an option to import your browser data from Google Chrome automatically on each launch.
Done with Chrome? Follow these tips to take your bookmarks, passwords, and other browsing data to Firefox, Edge, or Safari.
Import browsing history, search engine, saved passwords, etc., from the default browser to Chrome on the first run using REGEDIT, GPEDIT, in your enterprise.
To import data from another browser into Chrome, open Chrome, then click the three dots (top right) and choose Settings. Click You and Google on the left, then Import bookmarks and settings.

Safari is a great browser but it's limited to Apple devices. If you want to shed that limitation and switch to Chrome, you don't have to leave bookmarks behind.
Of course, Microsoft Edge previously had an “import browser data” feature on the Settings page. But this feature allows for only one-time importing to sync bookmarks, passwords, browsing ...
At the Import browser data window, make sure the dropdown box is set to Microsoft Internet Explorer. Uncheck any content you don't wish to retain.
