One person was killed and another was injured in a shooting in the Avalon Pier parking lot in the Outer Banks.

A Kill Devil Hills teenager has been charged as an adult with first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon in Thursday’s shooting outside Avalon FIshing Pier that left a 19-year-old dead and a teen bystander injured.

Police said multiple agencies are assisting with the investigation, and agents with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation are on their way to the scene.
