The top dog in a race among the six iconic Wienermobiles from Oscar Mayer proved to be the one representing the Southeast.
The "Wienie 500" is a first-of-its-kind spectacle where the fleet of Wienermobiles will haul buns to the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a race unlike any other. The race is scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m. during race week’s annual Carb Day festivities.

Robert Shwartzman will become the first Israeli driver in the 33-car field when he leads it to the green flag as the first rookie pole-winner since 1983. The 25-year-old is both Russian and Israeli, though he races under the Israeli flag.
The Indianapolis 500 this year will feature two drivers in particular whose storylines are all about chasing history. Josef Newgarden is attempting to win his third consecutive Indy 500. No one in the 108-year history of the race has won back-to-back-to-back.
Along with Carb Day practice, the pit crews for the 33 cars will get to show off in the annual Indy 500 Pit Stop Challenge, which is set to begin at 2:30 p.m. ET. Time: 11 a.m. ET
