On his 79th birthday, President Trump spent more than three hours on Saturday taking in the scene at a military parade commemorating the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army.

The much-talked-about event, which also fell on President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday, drew thousands of spectators despite the threat of rain.

The parade stirred up controversy for what opponents view as a politicization of the nation's armed forces and sparked an organized No Kings protest movement.
