Lindsey Vonn said Monday in a post on Instagram that she suffered a complex tibia fracture "that will require multiple surgeries to fix properly" when she crashed in the downhill Sunday.

Lindsey Vonn had surgery to repair a fractured leg after her fall Sunday in the women’s downhill race at the Winter Olympics, according to multiple reports.

“She’s 41 years old and this is the end of her career,” Alan Kildow said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press.
