On Saturday, May 31, ICE agents arrested Mendez outside of a Kroger in East Price Hill as part of a series of arrests.

ICE has scheduled a hearing in Mendez’s case for 8 a.m. June 17, according to Samantha Searls, program director at Ignite Peace. Mendez will participate virtually, she said.

Last Saturday, ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) arrested the father of an immigrant family in the parking lot of our local Kroger, leaving the rest of the family stranded.
