A federal judge in Boston has blocked President Donald Trump’s executive order that would end birthright citizenship for the children of parents who are in the U.S. illegally.

U.S. President Donald Trump's effort to curtail automatic birthright citizenship as part of his hardline immigration crackdown suffered a further setback on Thursday as a fourth judge declared it unconstitutional.

A multi-state effort, including California, to block President Donald Trump’s executive order ending the constitutional right of birthright citizenship won a victory Thursday, when a federal judge in Massachusetts issued a preliminary injunction barring the order from going into effect until the legal challenge is resolved.
