Kenosha-based Southport Bank has named Russ Weyers president and chief executive officer. Weyers replaces Timothy Schadeberg, who filled the role from May 2011 to December 2014.

Cecchini has agreed to invest $7.5 million in the bank, Schwallier said. Cecchini would hold a 45 percent stake in Southport Bank’s holding company Southport Financial Corp., Schwallier said.
