President Donald Trump on Sunday escalated his call for the Washington Commanders to change their name back to the “Redskins,” threatening to restrict the NFL team’s stadium deal if they don’t, though it’s unclear how he would be able to.

Donald Trump isn't done with his threats to the Washington Commanders and their new ownership. In a follow-up to Sunday morning's Truth Social post calling for the franchise to return to its "Redskins" nickname immediately,

"OWNERS, GET IT DONE!!!" wrote President Trump, in calling on the Washington Commanders to revert to the name Redskins, which many view as a slur against Native Americans.
