Stewarts Creek's softball team stayed alive in the TSSAA softball Class 4A state tournament with a 15-5, five-inning win over Farragut in an elimination game Wednesday. The Lady Red Hawks will play Dickson County at 9 a.m. Thursday in another elimination game.

Riverdale's DJ Taylor captured two state championships at the Class AAA state track and field meet Thursday at MTSU. He won the title in the 100 meter dash, finishing in 10.35, and the 200-meter dash, finishing in 21.29. He also finished sixth in the long jump.
