Last March, Kingston was convicted by a federal jury of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and four counts of wire fraud.

Sean Kingston will spend 3½ behind bars, a judge decided Friday, for his involvement in a $1-million fraud scheme. His mom is serving 5 years for the same crime.

An attorney for Kingston says he's "taking this as a learning experience and will continue moving forward in a positive direction."
