The Dodgers announced their list of non-roster invitees to spring training and it includes one big name – Roki Sasaki. Because of his status as an international free agent under age 25, the much-coveted Sasaki officially signed a minor-league contract and is not on the Dodgers’ 40-man roster.

The latest sterling Los Angeles Dodger officially arrived on Wednesday afternoon as the franchise formally introduced Roki Sasaki. The 23-year-old right-hander’s fastball has touched 102 mph. His arrival in the United States was met with more anticipation than any international amateur since Shohei Ohtani in 2018 — now his teammate.
