Veteran point guard Isaiah Thomas agreed to a deal with the NBA G League's Salt Lake City Stars in a bid to extend his NBA career, according to ESPN's

“Two-time All-Star Isaiah Thomas is pursuing another NBA return, signing into the G League and rejoining the Utah Jazz 's Salt Lake City affiliate, sources tell ESPN,” Charania shared on X (formerly Twitter). “Last season, Thomas averaged 33 points in four G League games en route to a call-up to the Suns.”

Thomas had the best years of his career under now-Utah Jazz CEO Danny Ainge when the pair was with the Celtics. Thomas scored 28 points per game as the team’s starting point guard, even pushing the young Celtics to an Eastern Conference Finals run.

Two-time NBA All-Star Isaiah Thomas is making another attempt at a return. According to ESPN Senior NBA Insider Shams Charania, Thomas signed into the G-League on Monday and will be joining the Utah Jazz's affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars. Charania reported that Thomas is expected to make his debut for the Stars sometime this week.
