Clad in Buffalo Bisons white, No. 59 on his back, Max Scherzer took a major step toward rejoining the Toronto Blue Jays rotation Friday night by throwing 4.1 innings of two-run ball against the Columbus Clippers.

Scherzer isn't the only one taking the mound this Friday. The Bisons also announced that Bill's cornerback Christian Benford will throw the ceremonial First Pitch. Benford will be there to promote his children's book Stylish Safari: The Adventures of You. Signed copies of the book will be given out to lucky seat winners for fans in attendance.
