Helldivers 2 looks set for an unlikely Halo crossover after a new trailer teased the arrival of the ODST. Arrowhead's hugely successful PC and PlayStation 5 third-person shooter launches on Xbox Series X and S on August 26 as the first Sony-published game on Microsoft’s console.

The Xbox launch trailer for Helldivers 2 is almost at 150,000 views, and plenty of people in the comments noticed the Halo 3: ODST music playing right at the end. Given a Helldiver and an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper essentially do the same thing, I'm not surprised the PlayStation game is giving a nod to the Xbox franchise.

Helldivers 2 is gearing up for its Xbox release on August 26, and fans have found even more evidence of an imminent crossover with Halo in the form of a mysterious signal that sounds suspiciously like Halo 3: ODST's Superintendent.
