Mikel Arteta says Arsenal expect Jurrien Timber, Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel to all be fit for the start of the new season. The defensive trio missed Thursday’s 1-0 friendly defeat to Tottenham in Hong Kong. But Arteta says they are all expected to be ready for the new Premier League season, in a major boost for the Gunners.

With Gabriel and Calafiori out, Jakub Kiwior is likely to start against Spurs as William Saliba’s central defensive partner.

Centre-back Gabriel played 45 minutes in Arsenal's win over Watford behind closed doors but has not played any minutes of the tour to Singapore and Hong Kong after picking up an injury in training.
