The National Weather Service issued an updated flood warning at 5:59 a.m. on Tuesday in effect until 7:15 a.m. for Middlesex and Somerset counties.

Monday is a NEXT Weather Alert day in the Philadelphia region for tropical downpours and an elevated flash flood risk. As a cold front approaches the area, widespread showers and storms developed in the afternoon, evening and overnight hours. Any storm could train over the same areas for an hour or more.

Portions of Franklin and Hampshire counties are under a flash flood warning through 6 p.m. Monday as storms producing heavy rain crawl through the region.

On Tuesday at 5:14 a.m. the NWS Wakefield VA issued an updated flash flood warning in effect until 8:15 a.m. for Northampton County.

On Monday at 6:42 p.m. a flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 9 p.m. for Lancaster and York counties.

A flash flood warning was issued by the NWS Raleigh NC on Monday at 6:06 p.m. in effect until 8 p.m. for Orange County.
