(Reuters) -Defending champions Ferrari were heading for a third straight win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, after leading the 93rd edition of the race through the night and into Sunday morning at the Sarthe circuit.

Sunday, the No. 51 Ferrari AF Corse Hypercar went for a spin in the waning hours of the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. The Ferrari car, which has been up front for much of the endurance event, took a turn into a sand pit around 5:30 AM ET,
