A Baylor football died during a visit to his home state of Mississippi, the school announced Wednesday. Redshirt freshman defensive lineman Alex Foster was 18. The Clarion-Ledger in Jackson reported that he died after a shooting in the 1800 block of East Alexander Street near the intersection with North Colorado Street on Wednesday.
Baylor athletic director Mack Rhoades and head football coach Dave Aranda called Foster’s death an ‘unexpected passing.’
Baylor is mourning the tragic passing of a defensive lineman out of Mississippi. He was a redshirt freshman in the program.
