Duke coach Jon Scheyer said Thursday that x-rays on Cooper Flagg came back negative after the Blue Devils' superstar freshman left the team's ACC Tournament quarterfinal game against Georgia Tech with a sprained ankle.

No. 2 Duke may have topped Georgia Tech 78–70 in an ACC tournament quarterfinal Thursday, but it lost its centerpiece in forward Cooper Flagg. Flagg sprained his ankle during the contest, ending his afternoon with just two points and four rebounds.

Duke’s Cooper Flagg, the ACC’s player and rookie of the year, appeared to injure his left ankle Thursday during the top-ranked Blue Devils’ ACC tournament opener in Charlotte. Flagg came down awkwardly on the foot of Georgia Tech’s Baye Ndongo while pulling down a rebound late in the first half.
