A body believed to be the 2-year-old New York City boy missing for a month has been found by the Whitestone Bridge, in the East River, a source with direct knowledge of the investigation confirmed Wednesday.

An unidentified juvenile was discovered in the East River, and police say it appears to be the body of the 2-year-old boy from the Bronx who has been missing for a month out of New York City.

The NYPD says that two children have gone missing a month apart from the same public housing complex on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

Police sources tell CBS News New York the body of a child was pulled from the East River Wednesday amid the search for missing Bronx toddler Montrell Williams.

The boy's father was caught on surveillance video throwing a bag, possibly with the child inside, into the river, sources said.
